Work on the new underpass that will allow our residents to safely cross Airport Rd (SH21) is progressing nicely.

Two large trees have just been removed on the southern side of the road, while construction of a new footpath on the northern side of the site is well underway. Service installations, involving multiple contractors, is also continuing as planned.

Once complete later this year, the underpass will provide access to the shops across the road at Tamahere Village without the need to cross this busy state highway. Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is responsible for this project, and they are keeping us well-informed of progress.
